pebbles back to the basics hop

Hi again! Can you believe a new term is starting for the Pebbles Design Team? You are in for a REAL treat! Today Pebbles is introducing the talented new team via a fun blog hop. Awesome, right? And even better? There are TONS of prizes available!

First of all – you will want to check out the main Pebbles Blog. Just click HERE are you will see the whole list of participants. While you are there, don’t forget to enter for a great prize!

I am also giving away a prize, so check out my Basics layout right here…and leave a comment about your favorite “basic” scrapbooking supplies. Do you have a love affair with patterned paper? Can’t live without your Thickers? What supplies end up on almost every one of your layouts?

I actually haven’t worked with a black and white photo for awhile, but my talented niece Amber sent this photo she shot of Eloise and I couldn’t resist scrapping it right away. Aren’t new photos inspiring? I love how the Pebbles Basics collection really plays off this photo. While the patterns are a bit busy, they all work together (and don’t overwhelm my photo).

So, enjoy seeing all the wonderful projects from the Pebbles team. I can’t wait to get to know these girls along with you!

  3. You used such perfect colors and patterns for this sweet photo! I am a patterned paper addict, but also love letter stickers, so I think I have to say they are my favorite basic because they go with everything (and it’s fun to mix and match styles and colors!) Thanks so much for sharing!

  4. Great layout! Ribbon is one of my favorite basic supplies, but lately, sticker letters have been coming back ino my stash:)

  5. Love your page! The colors are so yummy and I really like how you used a black and white photograph.

  6. Such a simple and great girly page! I love the blend of these basic colors that you used! My scrapbooking staple is patterned paper! Love it and use it on every page including for backgrounds! Thanks for the chance!

  7. Right now my favorite thing to do is embossing. The colors on your layout make me smile too!

  8. Love your sweet little layout! I can’t do without patterned paper for sure! I have recently started using it for my base background as well instead of cardstock! Thanks for the chance to win!

  9. I love how all those patterns work with the B&W photo, I haven’t used a B&W photo in ages either! My basic item has to be dots of some kind – rhinestones, enamel dots, sequins etc – anything small, round, and shiny or sparkly! I’m now wanting some pebbles candy dots after discovering them along this hop!

Thanks for the chance to win! x

  10. I think your page looks great with the BW photo and all the colorful strips.
For me, patterned paper is the #1 thing I buy/use/hoard. After all, I can always use it to cut out my own letters (although yes, I do love me some Thickers!), and embellishments. A close second would be cardstock, because I can do those same things with it. And then there are those things that paper just can’t duplicate – like enamel dots/buttons/gems. I’ve got a lot of little accents that I have to classify as “basics” too. :)

  11. Such a sweet photo! Love all those strips of paper. My favorite scrapbook supply. That’s hard. Maybe thickers. I’m obsessed with them.

  12. Love the brightness and color here on this layout!! I also was going to say that the scrapping item I can’t live without would have to be Alphabet stickers! (Thickers and Doodlebug are my favorites)

  13. My favorite of all is solid colored cardstock! I use it for most of my layouts and cards…can’t get enough of it!

  14. Love how you used the strips of paper. My favorite scrapping products are my patterned paper and my dry emboss folders and lately I have really been into using dies.

  15. Very sweet layout–I like the b&w photo with these pretty colors and patterns. I love patterned paper.

  16. I love how you created a washi tape look with the paper strips!! LOOVE!!! My Basic Supply is definitely ribbon!!

  17. What a sweet layout! I haven’t worked with b&w in a while either and seeing your layout has inspired me to print some! Thanks! The one basic scrapbooking supply I can’t be without is stickers believe it or not!!!! Thanks for the chance to win!

  18. Love your layout and how you incorporated all of those papers! I Love patterned paper, but hoard it lots of times because I don’t want to use it up!

  19. The colors and the vertical lines of all the scraps you used work so amazing in your LO!!!

  20. Love the washi tape with the black and white layout ! I’m a sucker for both wash tape and Thickers.

  21. Such an adorable layout! I can’t scrapbook without patterned paper (and lately washi tape – serious addiction here!).

  22. I love your layout. I’m so used to seeing your cards. Lol! I make cards too, but my first love is scrapbooking. I thought hard about what supply I need the most, and I guess I have to say patterned paper. I just love it, and Pebbles is so happy. I’m loving the whole new line, and it’ll really add to the other lines that I love. Thank you for the inspiration. Take care from one Kim to the other. 😉
