Hi there! Today is another special day with my fellow Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking Go To Gals. I love that we get together at least once a month (um, virtually get together) to collaborate on projects together. This month we are using some amazing stamps by Stampin Up.
This is my sweet and simple card using their Sassy Salutations stamp set. I love this set and have used it quite a few times. I actually had forgotten that it has this holiday sentiment! Nice find. Oh, and I am pretty sure this card was inspired by one I had seen by Mendi Yoshikawa but I cannot seem to find the original to link up. I cannot think of anyone else who do this type of adorable hand stitching and super cute design, can you? Hee, hee.
So, take a peek at the other Go To Gals cards! Check out all my links right over there in my sidebar —–>
And, if you have not been following the Wednesday posts by the Go To Gals, click HERE and catch up!
Hi there! I am joining my fellow Go To Gals in the designer playdate for August. I think we have just too much fun with these challenges! Hee, hee. Every month we try to pick a manufacturer or specific product and just see what we come up with. It is a cool exercise in creativity. Plus, we get to see what everyone else makes. I am nosy that way. Hee.
Today, Imagine Crafts is being featured. You might know them better as the Tsukineko folks. They sell all the best inks out there, the tried and true Versamark, the gorgeous Delicata pads, Staz On, etc. I was excited to bust out the new radiant Neon pigment pads for my project.
I really wanted to test out the pads and colors, so I stamped them with the Simon Says Stamp Square Sayings stamp. After stamping the squares and the sentiment, I also added a little bit of the irResisible texture spray (mine is Summer Sky). This stuff is really groovy (I am channeling the 1980s now). It is thicker than a mist, but acts similar. It takes a smidge longer to dry, but stays glossy when dry. A really fun product! (I used the white on a card lately and it looked just like snow!).
So, onwards to the other Gals. Please check out Teri, Heather, Laina and Laura for more inspiration. Enjoy!
Hey to all my crafty friends. You might be interested in knowing that I am appearing in Episode 18 of Iron Craft. Hee, hee. Chaitali invited me to play along quite awhile ago and we were finally able to make our schedules mesh. So, we both set up a video chat and Chaitali recorded it for an episode. I was using an iPad, so I will apologize in advance for the somewhat choppy feed, my fault entirely.
But, we had a lot of fun chatting and we also each created a card using a Paper Smooches stamp set. You will have to jump over there to see both cards! HERE is a link to all of Season 2, just click the link at the bottom of the page, or watch on YouTube.
One thing I tried to show was a few of the newer things in my craft room. And, during the interview I promised to share the name and a photo of my new IKEA paper organizer. I typically work on 3-4 projects at once, kind of revolving them across my desk as I get inspiration. So, this Kvissle Letter Tray works perfectly.
Good thing I did NOT try to pronounce on the video. Ha, ha. I actually still do not know how to pronounce it. I should ask my Swedish sister in law!
So, enjoy the video and I will be back tomorrow with some other exciting news (such a tease).
We call these kind of posts Designer Challenges, but I think we need to rename them Creative Play. Hee, hee. It is just a time, once a month, that the Go to Gals get together and make pretty things with the same product.
This month, we are using delightful goodies from Fancy Pants Designs. I am using the super fun (and funky) MeOlogy collection.
I knew I wanted to use this phrase card the moment I saw it. I think this card will go to one of my daughters. Problem is, all four of them are a little bit weird. Ha, ha. They take after their Momma.
Please take a few minutes to check out the other six Go to Gals blogs, Fancy Pants has so many cute products, I cannot wait to see what they come up with!
